Hi, I’m Emily — the heart behind Claire James Interiors. The name was inspired by my two children — and their great-grandparents before them — a nod to family and the timeless sense of home that inspires everything I do.

I was born and raised in Michigan, but these days you’ll find me in northern New Jersey with my husband and our two kids. Before diving headfirst into interior design, I spent 15 years as a packaging engineer — which gave me a deep appreciation for detail, balance, and how design can make everyday life better. Then I decided to follow my true calling — creating spaces that make people feel good.

At Claire James Interiors, I believe a well-designed home should be warm, inviting, functional, and deeply personal. When a space flows and feels right, life feels lighter and happier. My goal is to help every client experience that — a home that looks beautiful, lives comfortably, and simply feels amazing to be in.
